  • Advised various clients in the privatization processes of the electric sector, including the privatization of the Eletrobras group distributors, special purpose entities operating in the generation and transmission sectors owned by the Eletrobras group, and Eletrobras itself. Also involved in the privatization processes of CESP, CEA, CEEE-D, CEEE-T, CEEE-G, CELG-T, and COPEL.
  • Advised various clients in divestment processes conducted by Petrobras, including the sale of the Shale Industrialization Unit (SIX).
  • Advised clients in various sanitation auctions, including the sanitation auctions of the States of Alagoas and Rio de Janeiro and the privatization of CORSAN.
  • Advised clients in port auctions, including the leasing of port terminals for the handling and storage of pulp (general cargo), liquid bulk (fuel), and containerized cargo at the Port of Santos, and airport auctions, including the 7th round of concessions.

Mariana is the partner responsible for the administrative law, regulatory law, and regulated sectors at Stocche Forbes. She advises national and foreign clients on privatization processes, auctions, and bids, as well as providing consultancy on the regulation of Brazil's main infrastructure sectors, including electric energy, oil and gas, mining, basic sanitation, telecommunications, transportation, and logistics.


Mariana has extensive expertise in risk analysis of concessions and public-private partnerships. She also works on public consultations and hearings, tariff processes (adjustments, revisions, and rebalancing), oversight, sanctioning, and prior approval processes.
