Law simplifies publication regime for public limited companies

The Official Gazette of the Union this Thursday, April 25th, published a law amending the publication regime applicable to public limited companies. In accordance with Law No. 13,818, of April 24, 2019 ("Law 13,818/19"), as of today, closed companies with less than 20 shareholders and net worth of up to R$10 million may stop publishing notices calling for the general meeting and its financial statements. They will only need to instruct the process of recording the minutes of the general meeting at the commercial board with certified copies of these documents.
