Renato has been working for almost 15 years in tax practice, with focus on domestic and international tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and specialized consulting in the taxation of financial markets. He is Professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), and Instituto Educacional BMF&BOVESPA of the following subject matters: taxation on financial markets, taxation of derivatives, taxation of fixed income and taxation of investment funds.
He is Co-author of the book Manual de Tributação do Mercado Financeiro (“Guide to Financial Markets Taxation”).

Renato is recognized by Chambers and Partners as one of the main active lawyers in Brazil in Tax, having been praised by his clients as “a very practical and assertive lawyer with deep knowledge of accountancy, tax and corporate law,” adding: “He is a very results-oriented lawyer with a strategic business vision.” (Chambers Latin America 2018).
