Carlos has been working in the tax area for over ten years, with emphasis on tax planning, M&A and corporate reorganizations. After having obtained his LLM degree from NYU, Carlos worked in a major Brazilian investment bank for five years, where he developed a strong expertise on regulation and taxation of the financial industry as well as investment funds. Carlos was a member of the tax committee of the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), and served as an alternate judge in the Brazilian Tax Court (CARF).
Carlos has published several articles on tax matters, and has extensive experience with both corporate and individual income tax.
