The Real Estate law team at Stocche Forbes is widely recognized as one of the most experienced and sophisticated in Brazil.
The department handles all types of transactions and matters involving real estate law, and has been involved in many of the most complex and challenging projects undertaken in Brazil.
The team assists clients in respect of acquisitions of rural and urban properties, with particular focus on identifying risks arising out of the preceding title chain and proposing effective remedies to address any such issues. Our expertise also covers real estate development (incorporação imobiliária) and the formation of condominiums (instituição em condomínio), typical and non-typical leases, built-to-suit projects, all types of collateral over real estate properties, surface rights and other issues.
In addition, the real estate law department works in close coordination with other areas of the firm, such as tax, corporate, project financing and environmental, both to support such practices in connection with the review of real estate law matters, as well as to draw on their expertise for the structuring and negotiation of real estate investments.
In particular, the real estate law department participates actively and in coordination with the firm’s banking and capital market team in transactions involving the securitization of real estate receivables or formation of real estate investment funds.
